The Bachelor Report

What we collect, and why.

The short version: an email address if you ask for the Black Book, ordinary server logs, optional usage data if you choose analytics, and a note of which link you clicked. Nothing is sold. Everything below explains your choices.

Who runs this site

The Bachelor Report is published by Regios GmbH, Switzerland. It is a reader-supported publication for adults aged 18 and over. Questions about this page or about your data: reply to any email we have sent you, or use the unsubscribe link in that email to stop everything at once.

Email

If you request the Black Book, we store the email address you enter, the page you entered it on, the time, and any campaign identifiers in the page address. We send one confirmation email first; nothing else goes out until you click the link in it. After that you receive the Black Book and a short series of notes, then occasional dispatches. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, which removes you immediately.

Email is sent through our own mailing system. We do not share, rent or sell the list.

Server logs

Like every website, our server records each request: the page, the time, your IP address, your browser type, and the page that referred you. We use these logs to keep the site working and to count how many readers reach each page and click each link. Logs are kept for a limited period and then rotate out.

Optional usage analytics (Microsoft Clarity)

On the homepage, companion review page and our TransDate landing page, Microsoft Clarity is optional. We do not load its script until you choose Accept analytics. If you choose Decline, these pages do not load Clarity. The Privacy choices button lets you reopen the choice. We save the choice in your browser's local storage, so clearing site data or using another browser shows the choice again.

After you accept, Clarity may collect behavioral metrics, heatmaps and session replay, using first- and third-party cookies and similar technologies. These pages send only a small set of diagnostic event names, such as page visible, foreground return and outbound link position. Their code does not send form values, email addresses, network click tokens, user identifiers or offer-specific preference tags to Clarity. The email form, its hidden honeypot and its submission feedback are explicitly marked data-clarity-mask="true". If you withdraw consent, the page sends Clarity's documented denial and cookie-clear signals and stops sending new page events until you accept again. Microsoft's own handling of the data is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

On the TransDate landing page, the main content is masked in replay and there are no signup fields. We do not send your affiliate click identifier to Clarity. Separately, our own tracking service counts page visibility, a five-second engaged visit, page-load speed, link clicks and errors against the advertising click. These records help us check whether paid traffic reaches the page and continues to the offer. They do not prove that an account was created; affiliate conversion reports provide that separate result. Preview visits are excluded from paid campaign results.

Microsoft may also use the data it collects to improve its services and provide Microsoft Advertising, as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Affiliate links

Links to the platforms we review pass through our own address first, for example thebachelorreport.com/go/..., so we can count clicks and, if you sign up, be paid a commission by the platform. The forwarding step records the link clicked and the campaign identifiers from the page you came from. It does not record who you are. What happens after you arrive on the platform is governed by that platform's own privacy policy, not ours.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies of its own. The analytics choice is stored in browser local storage. Microsoft Clarity may set cookies only after you accept analytics, as described above. Our email system sets none on this site.
